Papa Lou’s Kitchen

     The restaurant was opened by Mr. Lockett in 2007 and originally was called Lockett's Superstar Cafe .  Over the past two years as the owner Louis became a well loved figure in the neighborhood,  it was renamed Papa Lou's kitchen,to thank him for his hard work, original great taste, special recipes, and home cooked meals. Papa Lou's Kitchen( is one of the  best   tasting home cooking & soul food  buffets  in Georgia!  Papa Lou's kitchen in Fayetteville GA  is known for   delicious fried green tomatoes,  tender BBQ  meats(ribs &chicken  that fall off  the bone, crispy fried chicken, famous   macaroni and cheese, well seasoned collards ,  best cornbread dressing around, real home made southern deserts, and more. 

You get all that great tasting country cooking piled high on a plate for a very reasonable price.  Mr. Lockett  affectionately known as Papa Lou was raised in a military family, and traveled the world as a child.  His Father was killed in Vietnam when he was 13 years old, and the  family settled in Amityville, Long Island. As a teenager  Papa Lou had to  help with cooking, and babysitting, for three siblings,  while his Mom traveled into Manhattan every day, on the Long Island Railroad to work.  When he wasn't watching or playing sports, you could always find him in the kitchen, cooking for anyone that was hungry, or just needed to talk. Folks always  told him he needed to open a restaurant.  

Years later after marrying he relocated  to Fayetteville GA, raised two boys, and  worked  in the corporate world for 16 years. During this time he perfected his own style of home cooking, with secret seasonings, ingredients,  tips from his mother 's, old family recipes. Although Papa Lou 's mom passed away  before he opened his restaurant  in 2007, he continues her home cooking & soul food   legacy in his kitchen, cooks from scratch ,with out written recipes, and  uses the finest , freshest ingredients. That is why Papa's home cooking & soul food tastes so good. Try it for yourself.
